I’m an avid reader on many sites, including Apple news (although I usually limit myself to headlines only, since the news often threatens my peace of mind), Medium, and Substack, along with various other sites, books and sources. When it comes to spirituality, a favorite topic of mine, there are all kinds of offerings, many of which I enjoy, and others that do not resonate with me. The ones I dislike the most are the ones where the author comes across as the “this is the only way to do it” source, as well as those that make spirituality sound scary, unattainable for many, or so outlandish and “out there,” that no one would ever want to seek it! I’ve read articles about aliens taking over the Earth along with peoples’ minds, all kinds of multiple hoops you have to jump through to attain enlightenment, how there is only one way to awaken and the dire consequences if you don’t, and, oh, the buzz words! Oh. My. God!
To each his or her own, and I’m the first to apply to my own work that you should take what resonates and leave the rest, but sometimes I find it frustrating to know that when some people read this stuff, they’re either more lost than ever, or they want to avoid spirituality and seeking answers altogether! It really doesn’t have to be that way. One of the things I appreciate about spiritual pursuits is that they can and should be tailored to each individual. Different things work for different people, and I don’t care what anyone says, there is no one right way that works for everyone. Like with religion, we’re all too different to be placed in and confined to one way of doing things. I’m not suggesting that the authors whose work doesn’t resonate with me are wrong, and I’m right. There is room for all kinds of approaches and ideas, but sometimes, I wish folks would realize that, just because something works for them, it doesn’t mean it will work for everyone or that it’s the only option.
I asked the Archangels about the negativity sometimes attached to spiritual pursuits, and their response follows.
Question: Some people make spiritual growth sound so scary, suggesting requirements like “shadow work,” “dark nights of the soul,” “hitting rock bottom,” and talking about being watched, weighed, evaluated by others, who are sometimes portrayed as scary beings and things that go bump in the night. As you know, that has not been my experience. Can you please offer a more positive slant on things?
Answer:
We will begin by saying that there are no two people who experience the same thing when it comes to spiritual growth. As a matter of fact, no soul experiences the same journey from lifetime to lifetime. Each person is different, each experience is unique, and each lifetime is a success in many ways. If this were not so, the soul would not return time and time again to experience the human life.
Just as there are always hardships and challenges in every lifetime, along with many good and enjoyable times, the same can usually be said for the spiritual journey. Also, the perception of each person varies in so many ways, which is tied to background, circumstances, etc.
This is why we always caution you to be wary of anyone who says there is only one way to experience spiritual growth or a right or wrong way to evolve. That is ludicrous, as everyone experiences life and the spiritual path in endlessly different ways, not to mention that all people have a life plan in place that targets different lessons as well as different ways of learning them.
Add to that the incessant need human beings have to label and categorize everything, as well as adding limiting vocabulary, which people comprehend differently, and it is no wonder that people get confused and misinterpret so many things along the spiritual path. In so far as channeled messages go and how they sometimes differ on various points, we will add that high Guides teach and speak to their channels in ways they best understand. Further, information about life throughout the Universe is much too vast for any one person to completely know or learn as a human, so Guides reveal various parts to different people, based on their interests, requests, and needs.
No one has the entire, big picture, but rather smaller, bite-sized parts of it. So channels whose messages differ do not necessarily signify that one is right and one is wrong. Instead, they usually offer certain aspects that are all true but incomplete, without enough information to make it all make sense in the grand scheme of things, the information fitting seamlessly together. There are missing parts in all cases, because as human beings, you do not have the capacity to know and grasp all things pertaining to the universe.
The spiritual journey can be beautiful in so many ways. It can be energizing, fascinating, awesome, rejuvenating, inspiring, hopeful, joyful, peaceful, and loving. It can also be challenging, confusing frustrating difficult, lonely, scary, sad, misunderstood. Do you see the parallels between life and the spiritual path?
Many is the time people have become impatient with their Guides or their journey for not providing them with precise, irrefutable information designed to completely clear up any misunderstandings, confusion, or gaps in knowledge, yet we rarely do this, because it would be a disservice to you. Our channel smiles as we say this, because there have been times when she has become frustrated with us and just wants us to “tell it like it is” and give her the “bottom line.” Yet, she has learned that there is much more joy, not to mention true growth, in exercising patience – or trying to, anyway! – and allowing things to unfold with time and experience.
Consider the difference between reading a car owner’s repair manual and actually fixing a problem with the car. Just because you are provided with the information, does not mean you will completely understand it, much less be able to put it into practice so that whatever problem you address is completely fixed. Keeping with the car analogy, sometimes there are missing or broken parts that must be replaced. Again, if someone handed over those parts, there is no guarantee you would know how to use them to fix the problem. Experience, whether pleasant or unpleasant, is usually the best teacher, yes? Unlike in car repair scenarios, you cannot hire someone to teach you or “fix” you. You must learn to do that for yourself. Yes, you can request and receive help, support, and guidance from others, both humans and high Guides, but you must do the work yourself. We will help, support and guide you on your journey, but you will have to put the time and effort into spiritual growth to realize it. You cannot just turn it over to someone else to do for you.
As for things that sound scary or intimidating regarding the spiritual path, nothing is standard, true, or experienced by all people, much less in the same way. Some spiritual lessons are best learned through hardship, and others are best learned through joy. What we can offer is to tell you that spiritual growth depends on the blending of human and soul counterparts, not the blocking or replacing of parts belonging to one or the other. The human and the soul are two forms of the same being. Ideally, you want the two forms to come together, not pull further apart. The idea of leaving behind your humanness in order to become more spiritual is erroneous and very misleading. The goal should be to work together as closely as possible, so that the soul can grow from the human, physical experience, while the human can grow spiritually from the soul’s perspective.
When you seek knowledge and understanding of all things spiritual, understand first of all that you are not intended to know and understand everything. If you cannot grasp something, there is nothing wrong with you. It is likely not the right time or circumstances for that particular lesson or information. If you find something that calls to you, by all means, pursue it. Your Guides often lead you to people, places, things, information, opportunities, etc. when you can most benefit from them. If, on the other hand, something affects you in a negative way, move on to something different. Allow your heart and intuition to be your Guides, as they are forms of spiritual guidance.
No one can or should try to tell you which direction to take. To offer and seek advice is one thing, but for someone to demand and insist is unacceptable, because different things work for different people. Not everyone needs to experience a dark night of the soul. Not everyone needs to do shadow work. Not everyone needs to hit rock bottom, block out their ego, find a guru, study Reiki, channel, fast, get an energy treatment, find their twin flame, use drugs, or hang upside down. There are as many ways to gain in spiritual growth as there are people. Look around. Try different things. Keep an open mind, and trust your inner wisdom to find something that works for you. You can even invent your own methods!
You all have different gifts, needs, interests, and backgrounds. Play to your strengths and do what brings you joy, hope, love, and peace. Open your heart and mind. Trust your intuition.
The spiritual path is rarely all positive or all negative. Sometimes, you have to heal before you are strong enough to move forward. Growing spiritually is usually a reflection of human life in that it is a mixture of both “good” and “bad”, easy and hard, pleasant and unpleasant from the human perspective, when in reality, it all serves you well, because you learn and grow from it all. Like the human lifetime, it will have its ups and downs. Sometimes, you will feel as though you are on top of the world, while other times will challenge you enormously.
What we can guarantee is that you will make progress, likely more than you realize, and you will have the help of your spiritual team and Guides, even if you are not aware of them. You can become more aware of them and your connection if you wish. They and we can help you with that. All you have to do is ask. Two-way communication between people and their Guides has never been easier or more needed than it is right now.
Final Thoughts
We all grow and change during our lifetimes, some seemingly more than others, but according to the Angels, there is always spiritual progress made in every lifetime. Our souls target certain lessons for each life, and we arrange in advance to get help along the way from our spiritual team, so we can reach those goals. My understanding is that, because of the 5D energy surrounding us, we’re growing and changing much more and much faster than in prior lives, and that’s kind of nice. The more we learn and grow during this lifetime, the less we have left to do in future lifetimes. It can also be challenging, though, because some of the stuff we learn can be really mind-blowing!
What I’ve come to realize is that there is no final destination on the spiritual path, during any lifetime for anyone. We learn during each lifetime, and we become better as we gain more experience and understanding. There are lots of “aha moments,” but there aren’t any “I’ve arrived,” “I finally made it,” or “I’m finished” eventualities. Neither is there only one road that leads to growth. There are many ways to learn and grow, and we should find the ones that make the most sense to us, modifying them and/or changing directions as needed. We don’t have to do anything we don’t want to do or that makes us unhappy or uncomfortable.
There is no right or wrong way to do things except as it pertains to the individual, so if someone tells you you’re doing “it” wrong, or that if you aren’t able to perceive or do something the way they do, there’s something wrong with you, if I were you, I’d disregard them and continue to learn in your own way, on your own path. Who is any one person to tell anyone they have to do or stop doing something that makes sense to them?
I channel the Angels and a lot of other high Guides, and I know what works well for me, but I would never tell anyone else what works best for them. I’ve dealt with many skeptics who try to tell me, “It doesn’t work that way,” but what they should say is, “It doesn’t work that way for me.” I’m happy to offer advice and share my own experience, but I’m not the total authority on how to grow spiritually, and neither is anyone else. My best advice is to follow your intuition and follow Frank Sinatra’s advice, and do it your own way. The only person who has to understand what you’re doing and feel good about it is you.
If you’re interested, feel free to join me and the Archangels on Friday nights as we combine our energies and meditate around a particular intention. You can do this from wherever you are, at whatever time you’re available simply by calling on the Archangels and asking them to join you. The intention for June is Divine Connection. Just find a quiet spot, call on the Angels, and ask for their help with divine connection, and they’ll show up to help you, whether you can detect them, or not. They’ll be there.
I hope you have a divine weekend, and I hope it’s full of joy, hope, love, and peace. I hope you find some time to focus on spiritual growth in some way, if you want to, and I hope you do it in whatever way makes the most sense to you.
Blessings, all.
